Celia Sin-Tien Cheng
Cravings is the culmination of Celia Sin-Tien Cheng’s passions. She loves to work with her hands to capture the immediacy of sensory experience in design. What unifies Celia’s design and work across all media is its high quality, elegant sensibility and sophistication.
Based in Honolulu, Cravings Media is a boutique design studio that focuses on letterpress production. Celia is grateful to be living aloha and sharing this magic, wonder, and love through thoughtful designs and handmade printed matter. Her studio/store is located at 547 Halekauwila Street, in Kaka’ako.
Celia grew up between Taipei and Honolulu. She lived in Tokyo and New York before returning to Honolulu. Celia loves to travel and explore different countries and cultures. Her diverse upbringing and travels feed her curiosity and inspire the modern playfulness and vitality in her work. Crossing over from management consulting to digital consulting for ad agencies, for over twenty years, she helped clients including The Wall Street Journal, Altoids, American Express, and New York Presbyterian Hospital develop and implement online branding and digital strategies. She combines the unique talents of translating the business needs of clients and her skills in design.
Celia has been featured in Crain’s New York Business, Print,"The Design Entrepreneur" by Steven Heller and Lita Talarico, and the Australian Radio National show "RN First Bite." She also appears with her mentor Milton Glaser in the documentary about his life, "Milton Glaser: To Inform and Delight." Celia holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts.
After receiving her M.F.A. in design from School of Visual Arts in New York, Celia launched Cravings, a lifestyle website that focuses on gastronomy, champagne, travel and design.
