When Celia takes on a new project, she jumps right in and never looks back. After receiving her MFA in design from School of Visual Arts in New York, Celia launched Cravings, a lifestyle website that focuses on gastronomy, champagne, travel and design. She loves to work with her hands and aspires to capture the immediacy of sensory experience in design. From videography and web development to letterpress, what unifies Celia’s design and editorial work across all media is its high quality, elegant sensibility and sophistication.
Based in Honolulu, Cravings Media is a boutique design studio that focuses on lifestyle editorial, digital consulting, and letterpress production. With Cravings, Celia will help you develop your ideas and present them in the best form possible.
Celia grew up between Taipei and Honolulu. She lived in Tokyo and New York before returning to Honolulu. Celia loves to travel and explore different countries and cultures. Her diverse upbringing and travels feed her curiosity and inspire the modern playfulness and vitality in her work. Crossing over from management consulting to digital consulting for ad agencies, for over twenty years, she has helped clients including The Wall Street Journal, Altoids, American Express, and New York Presbyterian Hospital develop and implement online branding and digital strategies. She combines the unique talents of translating the business needs of clients and her skills in design.
Celia has been featured in Crain’s New York Business, Print,"The Design Entrepreneur" by Steven Heller and Lita Talarico, and the Australian Radio National show "RN First Bite." She also appears with her mentor Milton Glaser in the documentary about his life, "Milton Glaser: To Inform and Delight." Celia holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts.
